Jessica is a 14-year-old teenager who comes from a marginal background. Her father's abuse since she was little has turned her into an angry self destructive young girl with a great armor even towards her little sister, 8-year-old Alma, with whom she has a relationship of hostility. During a trip to San Juan, Jessica will realize that she doesn’t want to be like her father and she’ll learn to treat her little sister with love and not with violence.
With the sea and the urban Algarve as a background, we follow a complete cycle of the life of a special shellfish called PERCEBES, goose barnacle. From their formation, to the dish, in this journey, we cross different contexts that allow us to better understand this region and those who live there.
An absurdist tragedy set in a repressive society where kissing is punishable by death, and people pay for things by receiving slaps to the face. Angine, an unhappy woman, shops compulsively in a department store. There, she becomes fascinated by an ingenuous salesgirl. Despite the prohibition of kissing, the two become close, raising the suspicions of a jealous colleague.

Curtas Metragens - Cooperativa de Produção Cultural C.R.L. was founded in 1997 and is based in Vila do Conde.
It is active in various projects (Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency, Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery, Curtas – Educational Service). It began producing cinematographic works in 2002, namely with the coproduction of four short films, developed as part of the 10th edition of Curtas Vila do Conde.
Curtas' Educational Service presents itself as a set of actions aimed at school audiences that infers education through the moving image, encouraging new ways of seeing and training students and teachers.
Since 2019, a group of renowned European film festivals has been organizing the European Short Film Audience Award (ESFAA) — a selection of the best European short films that have each won a national audience award. These films compete for a €3,500 prize, supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, with the winner chosen through audience voting across the participating festivals.
After a year-long tour among the partner festivals, the final audience decision is announced in May, during the Brussels Short Film Festival.
