My Generation is a special section of the Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival. It's organized by young teenagers and is designed to attract new audiences. This initiative is the outcome of a collaboration with four local high schools and ESMAD - School of Media, Arts and Design / Politécnico do Porto, located in Vila do Conde.

The selection process is similar to that of other competitions, but the committee members are selected from high school and university students. They are also in charge of various organizational tasks, such as creating the event's visual identity, choosing the films, and writing synopses and other texts.

In 2025, My Generation will be part of the 3rd Turma Curtas - Cinema for Schools, a special program for school communities, scheduled to run from November 11th to 21st.
