The short film Just Little Imps was awarded Best Film in the Workshops category at the 2023 National Animation Awards, organised by Casa da Animação.

'Just Little Imps' was developed in the context of an animation workshop (drawing on paper) run by 6th and 9th grade students from the Maria Pais Ribeiro Primary School in Vila do Conde.

The workshop, led by directors Dimitri Mihajlovic and Leonor Pacheco, took place as part of the ANIMAR 18 project, which proposes new tools, means and methodologies that introduce the principle of learning through a participatory experience. This project is part of the Solar — Cinematic Art Gallery programme and is promoted by Curtas Metragens CRL, with the support of the Direção-Geral das Artes (DGArtes).

The Magic Well, also developed in the context of an animation workshop, received the Honourable Mention in the same category. This film was the result of cut-out animation made by pre-school children from the D.Victoria Nursery School, under the guidance of Patrícia Rodrigues and Carmen Costa.
