The doors are open to welcome students and teachers, inviting them to take part in this preview of the children's sections of the 32nd Curtas Vila do Conde: Curtinhas and My Generation.

With a selection of 28 short films, covering various themes and languages, students and teachers will have the opportunity to explore the world through the eyes of filmmakers.

Turma Curtas - Cinema for Schools has 4 daily screenings and also includes an exhibition of My Generation posters, developed by students from the Design degree program at ESMAD - School of Media, Arts and Design.

The Curtinhas Program brings back Curtas' most energetic and entertaining films. Three competitions for three different age groups (M/3, M/6, M/9), will be seen and carefully evaluated by an attentive and judicious jury, made up of a group of 10 children, aged between 8 and 12. This programme brings us many stories - from journeys through space, to research, to musical moments with friends, in a series of sessions full of emotion and, of course, lots of laughter!

My Generation brings us two sessions of short films that take a close look at contemporary society. In a very diverse selection, aimed at secondary and higher education students, they introduce the problems of a generation, leading us to reflect on very current issues such as identity, mental health or emigration, among many others.

The My Generation Prize, sponsored by Auto Bemguiados, is awarded by the audience at the Turma Curtas sessions and the 32nd Curtas Vila do Conde, from July 12th to 21st. The My Generation films were selected by students from schools in Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim, who were involved in all stages of the process, from selecting the works to promoting this action within the school, as well as writing texts, synopses and posters.
