A folioscope is an optical toy that joins two images organized sequentially, usually in the format of a booklet, so as to give the impression of movement.
The thaumatrope is an optical toy made up of two cardboard discs, each with images that complement each other. The ends of the discs are attached with strings or elastic bands and when the strings are twisted, the images on the two sides appear to combine.
