The animated film ‘The Song of the Sea’, by Tomm Moore, will mark the closing session of ANIMar 19, on 8 June, at 16:00, at the Vila do Conde Municipal Theatre.

The film tells the story of Ben and his younger sister Searsha who, in an attempt to return to their seaside home, embark on a fantastic journey through the world of legends and magical creatures. The film is inspired by the ‘Selkies’, creatures of mythological origin from Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become human on land.

The closing session will also include the showing of the making-of of this 19th edition of ANIMar.
